lunch break

Wearing the most comfortable items possible while I fill my belly up during lunch.  Can’t beat the combination of jersey and chambray with some tennis shoes.

I have been looking around forever to find this Helmut Lang skirt in my size.  It was really nice to stumble across it on the Saks Off Fifth site for half the price!  I’m going to need to scavenge this website a little more frequently because they seem to have a really good stock of old favorites at a cheaper price.

subtle orange

It’s amazing how great the weather is in LA.  Wearing a breezy silk tunic in the middle of February with no need for a jacket.  Amazing weather.

I usually don’t wear too much color or patterns but this top is so irresistible.  The hints of subtle orange mixed into the fun pattern makes it such a fun piece to wear but it’s surprisingly really versatile.  I was thinking of pairing it with my usual black boots but decided to go all out with my new snakeskin chelsea boots.

Sometimes it’s fun to just let go and have fun.

downtown

I can’t stop wearing my Opening Ceremony jacket with everything!  Super warm and looks great thrown over anything.  Decided to dress it up a little bit with this chain belt and a lot of black.

black and some leopard

A little leopard to polish up a basic black outfit.

Random question, does anyone’s hat tend to want to fly off when the wind is blowing?  I’m starting to speculate that maybe my hats may be too big for my head… But I so hate it when it’s snug on and makes my head feel claustrophobic!  What to do, what to do…

peaches ‘n cream

I’m really into stripes again lately and just want to fill my closet with all different types of striped shirts.  Silk, cotton, blue, black, etc.  There’s so many gorgeous plays on stripes and my eyes keep straying to them!  I recently purchased this silk top from Maison Scotch and I really love the subtle peaches ‘n cream color that makes it so easy to wear with anything.  Of course I chose my preferred black but the options are endless.  I haven’t entered the white bottoms territory yet because I still have a trauma from the golden high school years but I can totally see these going great with some white trousers or jeans.

Have I mentioned how happy I am that the heat wave is over and I can finally wear boots again?  I was limited to ankle boots over the blazing hot summer but now I can enter the knee high and the thigh high lengths again.  The boots I’m wearing right now were designed by my beloved sister and I love the flour de lis detail on it!
