Otherwise, It was a weekend filled with lattes and plenty of beach time.  Of course I managed to squeeze a small shopping session in but since I’m gearing up for an upcoming NY trip, I decided to be good and just came away with a plain tee.  Can’t wait for another amazing weekend getaway!

rosewood rosewood1 rosewood2 rosewood3 rosewood4 rosewood5I found this sheer knit dress at Free People over the summer and purchased it right away to wear it during cooler months.  It’s just the right amount of sheer and such a great transitional piece.  Can’t wait to play around with some layering soon!

abandoned lot

abandoned abandoned1 abandoned2 abandoned4 abandoned5My favorite items for the fall/winter, so far, are chunky knits and over the knee boots. Separate or together, I will be abusing them all winter long. How many different way can they be styled without one getting sick of them? Hmm… challenge accepted (I’ve been doing a How I Met Your Mother marathon and Barney is influencing my word choices)!

Stereophonics brings so much memories of driving in my car.  Being stuck in traffic.  Singing off tune with my sister.  Being stuck in traffic.  It was such an amazing experience to finally see them perform live.  And I got to bring the LA love on with my beanie.  *wink*

it’s grunge time

plaidlydenim3 plaidlydenim1My feminine take on the grunge trend that’s been hitting the fashion scene hard.  I thought I was sick of it but couldn’t let it pass by me without dipping my toe in it once.  Maybe twice.

After my Saint Laurent inspiration from a few posts back, I am officially re-obsessed with it.  And I’m tempted to do every photo post in black and white.  Now if I can get my hands on his star knit cardigan…that powder blue color is just too perfect!

This skirt is fast becoming one of my favorites! The patent crocodile finish is just edgy enough and the material really stretches well as I move around squatting.  Squatting is definitely the way to go when testing out length and material of a skirt.  Just FYI. 🙂

As for the top, I’ve been wanting to get into the cropped craze but not quite daring enough to bare it yet so this was the perfect alternative.  I love the boxy cropped cut in the form of a classic white button up.  Soon, I shall dare to bare!  But until then, this top will be by best cropped friend.
