Those are some darn pliable leather pants and ballerina shoes never looked so cool. The music and the black and white video just pulls everything together. Need to get that music in my iPod now.
I am so inspired to dust off my old hoop dancing dvds and learn some moves!! Also inspired to do some blog posts in black and white!
Ok and I really want to do a bob with bangs now. I love these videos.
I was driving around the Marina district and noticed this cute french cafe, La Boulange. Apparently it’s a huge chain in SF and has numerous locations all over the districts. I can’t believe that I just noticed it! I can’t say much about the coffee because I forgot to order it after all the food I ordered but will definitely be going back to check it out. I was really excited for the french onion soup but it was sadly lukewarm and the cold wind outside chilled it instantly. Boo.
I love the over the knee boots but sometimes it can be hard to pull off in a casual manner, especially if its heeled. I can always put on some pants to tone it down but since I rarely like to wear long pants, I went with the usual black shorts and a long sleeve with a comfortable fit to tone down the boots. I think I could have done a white top with a tighter fit for more of a going out look but I was (smartly) dressed to eat a lot. 🙂
I attended a wedding in the East Bay over the weekend and the backdrop for the venue was so beautiful! I took a lot of pictures while the wedding party were doing their photoshoot and I can’t wait to go back for some romantic sunset photos.
I chose this suede-like material dress for the wedding because it was such a simple piece to wear. I always hate having to buy dresses for special occasions because I rarely end up wearing them again but I figured this dress was going to be very easy to wear over and over again.
These orange chairs compliment the black I’m wearing so well. I want to introduce some orange into my wardrobe but not sure if I can pull it off without looking like I’m in preparation for Halloween or a die hard Giants fan. Posing by some orange chairs will have to do until I can find a safe way to do orange.
(Zara top and heels, One Teaspoon shorts)
How legit is this grill? I had an awesome time doing BBQ with some friends over the weekend but sadly there are no picture evidence of the actual grilled stuff because I was too hungry to think about pictures by the time the grill got going.
This top is a favorite open back of mine at the moment but it proved quite difficult to wear because of its thin nude material. I tried various stickers to cover the high beams but they were shaped funny or the ridges showed through. I finally came across some info that the Reformation girls (if you’ve been on their website, then you know that all their clothing are super thin and impossible to wear with a bra) used Bristols6 to hide the beams. Let me tell you, it works like a charm! Very natural shaped cover and the coloring doesn’t show through at all. I’m in love and I want to have a lifetime supply of it. 🙂
Inspired from the fall runways to hold my bag as a clutch. It was nice to hold the bulk of the weight in my hands but couldn’t get past the worries of staining my bag. Maybe black would have sufficed better for this.
On the other hand, I really love that I can dress up a ratty old shirt with some heels and skirt.
(Splendid shirt, Vintage skirt and belt – stolen from my mom 😀 , Preen X Aldo Rise shoes, Botkier bag, JCrew necklace, Jaine K. Designs ring)
