Saturday Inspiration: Coco Mademoiselle

cocomademoiselle coco-mademoiselle cocomademoiselle3 cocomademoiselle2Using the nude color to perfection! Simple and sensual, with a twist of playfulness. I love how the color of the bike and the suede jumpsuit synchronizes so perfectly with the Coco Mademoiselle perfume.

I’ve always imagined a badass black leather biker outfit for myself (if I were ever to bike) but this nude suede is convincing me otherwise. Biking has never looked so chic!

Flash

flash2 flashAnyone watch Big Bang Theory?  If you do, then you know who Sheldon Cooper is and that he always wears this red Flash shirt.  He inspired my need to incorporate superhero shirts into my closet.  I couldn’t find any red Flash shirts with a material that I actually like but this white one from Junk Food tees was a good alternative.  Now I really need to get a Green Lantern shirt and a Bazinga shirt… 😀

Spring Trench

I’ve been waiting for the weather to warm up so I can finally wear my white lace shorts.  I suppose I can wear it when it’s cold out but it won’t generate that happy anticipatory mood I get when the weather is more pleasing.  I’ll just be cold and miserable, wondering why the heck I wore super short lace shorts on a gloomy gloomy winter day.

In my mind, the trench coat goes hand in hand with spring because it’s such a transitory coat.  It’s long and covers enough to battle the breezes but light enough that I won’t be sweating under the few hours of strong sunshine.  It’s still February and there are still breezes of cold air so the trench was the perfect cover up.

The wedge sandals I’m wearing are another piece from the Prabal Gurung for Target collaboration.  There was the black and white color block and an all red.  I opted for the black and white since it’s such a strong color combination trend and my two favorite colors to wear separate and alone.

Lime Infusion

A few of the items I picked up from the Prabal Gurung for Target collaboration.  I fell in love with the lime floral print sleeveless top because it reminds me of spring.  I rarely veer towards bright florals but the mesh detailing and the black collars really toned it down in a way I love.  It was a perfect top for an all black canvas.

P.S.  Those heels are actually a more lime green but turned out yellow in the photos.  😦
