I think I finally found the perfect long sleeve stripe shirt.  The search is over.  This one is perfectly thin and slouchy so I don’t feel constricted but also makes me feel waif-like.  What more can I ask for?

A little tribute to one of my favorite shows, How I Met Your Mother.  Sad that it finally came to an end but if I learned one thing from Barney, it’s to always suit up.  I chose to go a comfortable route with the suit and wore a thin silk cami instead of a button up.  I could have just done a plain white tank but I thought the silk cami gave a slightly more polished vibe.

Otherwise, It was a weekend filled with lattes and plenty of beach time.  Of course I managed to squeeze a small shopping session in but since I’m gearing up for an upcoming NY trip, I decided to be good and just came away with a plain tee.  Can’t wait for another amazing weekend getaway!

One Outfit, Two Ways

Best thing about rainy days are being able to walk around in rainboots and oversized puffer coats.  I’ve had these Hunter boots for a while but never knew how useful rainboots really are until I moved to Norcal.  I’m so protected from all the dreary rain and rain puddles!  However, this isn’t a great outfit option to go to work with so I changed up the outfit a bit to look more appropriate for my work.  Just a simple change of jacket and shoes can really change up an outfit.  Which outfit do you like better? =]

Photo Dec 18, 1 19 20 PM Photo Dec 18, 1 22 57 PMThe yellow long shirt and the green jacket have been hiding out in my closet for quite a bit of time and I wanted to try playing around with them.  I got the idea of assembling an outfit which consisted of the main crayon colors and this is what came out.  Yellow shirt, green jacket, red belt, blue shoes, and a purple bag.  I am missing orange though…does my hair count?  It’s been looking a bit orange lately.  😛

Did you notice that the two pictures have drastically different color tones?  I’ve been playing around with photo shop and its quite fun!  Such different vibes can be accomplished with a few tweaks here and there.  Amazing stuff.

Train Station

I recently had to take the train into the city and it was an exhilarating experience since I have never taken a train on my own before.  My plans were to head into downtown SF for some shopping at the Union Square before meeting a friend for dinner.  Taking the Cal Train to the city was easy.  Just got off at the last stop and that was it.  Getting to downtown?  Now that was tricky.  After asking various people, I walked across the street from the train station to ride the Muni (first time ever!) into downtown.  The bus driver kindly tells me exactly which stop I have to get off at to do some shopping.  And mentions the fare is $2.  Ok, I can deal with that.  I see some people swiping their cards so I go over to swipe my card too….its not a credit card machine!  *gasp*  CASH ONLY??  After standing there dumbfounded and now knowing what to do, I check my purse for some coins.  Only $1.  I stare at all the people in the bus pleading for help with my eyes.  Help me!  I finally ask the whole bus if they have a dollar they can spare.  After what feels like an eternity of people just looking at each other, some kind lady gives me a dollar.  I promise to pay her back when we get off the bus.  Thank you kind lady!  I hand the bus driver my two dollars, he gives me a slip, and off we go.

Did I mention how awesome the Muni is?  When I got off the bus I proceeded to ask people how to get to the mall.  They all point towards a direction and I slowly start walking over to it.  I peer inside and, VOILA, I’m inside the mall!  Too awesome.

Prim and Proper

I just recently moved to NorCal and it’s been exhausting packing and unpacking all of my clothes, beauty stuff, etc.  I found this dress while I was packing and decided I wanted to try wearing it again.  It has a very quiet look to it and I wanted to further enhance the pristine look by pairing it with a collared sleeveless.  It helped to add a little decoration around the  neckline too.  I added pops of blue into the outfit so it can look a bit more lively.
